“Holes: spying the Comediants”

(3 September 2005 – 30 January 2006) Homage exhibition to the theatre company Comediants, which promoted the Tàrrega Street Theatre Fair, in the year it celebrated its 25th anniversary.


Table footballs

(1 March – 15 August) Exhibition of about thirty table football games and football machines belonging to the Mayoral Collection. They all come from different countries, mainly England and France, and were manufactured during the early 20th century.


Tricicle. A story of three

“Tricicle. Una història de tres” is a window open to our world, a piece of our lives; lives that get all mixed up because Tricicle is a story of three; of three and many more… In this exhibition you will find a compilation of the most significant gags, objects we have used as props or as part of our wardrobe of our shows, graphic material related to them, etc. Beyond the theatre, we have also worked in television and cinema, as well as being tempted by other facets of the culture and the show business.


Barceló. A genius in Verdú

(15 May – 22 July) This exhibition gathers six pottery pieces made by the painter of Felanitx between the years 2002 and 2003, within the frame of his work on the Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca. The pottery pieces belong to the Mayoral Collection, and three of them have been exhibited at the Manel Mayoral art gallery, in Barcelona (c/ Consell de Cent, 286).


The behinds of La Cubana

(4 August 2007 – 3 February 2008) First exhibition devoted to the theatre company La Cubana. This display goes over the memories of their career and their theatre and television shows; it reveals how they work, their anecdotes and the many people who have been part of the company over the years. The exhibition is called “Els darreres de La Cubana” because it is essential to know the company’s “behinds” in order to understand its “fronts”. Carried out with the contribution of de Caixa Penedès, La Vanguardia and TV3.

Verdú Champions

"Verdú Champions" is a temporary exhibition made up of several extraordinary historical pieces collected by Manel Mayoral that once belonged to the main football clubs in Europe. The passion for football dominates this exhibition, which will run until April 30th, 2009, and which shows pieces such as the real railings of the Football Club Barcelona stadium, in Les Corts. Obra Social de Caixa Penedès (www.caixapenedes.com), Vilaweb, La Vanguardia, TV3, Catalunya Ràdio and the Catalan Football Federation (Federació Catalana de Futbol) have contributed to this exhibition.


Magical mechanisms

“Mecanismes màgics” is an automata exhibition, full of magic and singular objects, which is displayed at the Museu de Joguets i Autòmats in Verdú. Among the old automata collected by Lluís Ribas, a worldwide authority on this field, we will find objects that perform real magic in front of the audience: levitations, apparitions and disappearances. Apart from his automata, there will be two audio-visual presentations screened during the exhibition, as well as posters, programmes and reference books.

Fora de joc

From November 21, 2009 until January 20, 2010 there takes place an art intervention by the renowned contemporary artists Daniel Steegmann iRenata Lucas in the football item collection of the Museum of Toys and Automata in Verdú. The interaction will be performed on two significant elements: the football tables and the footballs. Obra Social de Caixa Penedès (www.caixapenedes.com), Vilaweb, La Vanguardia, TV3, Catalunya Ràdio and TRESC contribute to this exhibition.
